"Remember, remember the 5th of November, the gun powder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gun powder treason should ever be forgot.", V.

A3 print, personal project.

This took me ages to finish, started off as a mere practice exercise to get used to my tablet - this is only the second time I've worked on a piece with it. Used a press photo of the lovely Natalie Portman from the british cult film V For Vendetta as a base.

V for Vendetta (written by the Wachowski brothers - Matrix Trilogy) is one of my favorite films, its controversial story and themes really make you wonder about what may eventually happen if we keep on letting governments rule our lives, rather than them being run as a voice of what we think. I shall finally watch it on Blu-Ray tonight, I've had it collecting dust for too long now. :D

An alternative, colorless version can be found here. I actually prefer it with desaturated tones, but apparently I'm the only one since everyone who's seen both has told me this one is very meh.

Advanced critique is highly encouraged, I won't mind a few favorites either. :p

I like this one better than the b&w version, however her eye looks waaay darker than the rest of her face, which makes it seem out of place. If you either darken the (my) right side of her face to make it seem like it belongs there or lighten the eye a bit, I think it would look quite good.

Other than that, this is a nice piece.
